Born and raised right here in Eugene, Oregon, I have dedicated my entire career to supporting and advocating for our community.
From 2014 to 2022 I served as a caseworker with ODHS Child Welfare, specializing in children and families in foster care who were transitioning to permanency. That work gave me a firsthand understanding of the profound impact — and the legal complexities — of adoptions and guardianships.
In 2022, I left ODHS to attend law school. That winter, my family lost everything in a house fire. Our insurer refused to settle fairly, and I had to hire an attorney to fight for what was rightfully ours. That battle opened my eyes to how vulnerable families are against massive insurance companies — and inspired me to fight for others.
